I’d like to speak to the hearts of the abandoned. The ones who always end up on the hurting end of

other’s “free will”. The enemy wants you to think you are alone. That there is something wrong with you

in an intimate way. He wants to convince you that you are damaged and no good, and that you deserve

what you’ve been given. My dear friend, the devil is a liar and the father of all lies. Do not buy into this

for even a second. I have been where you are, weary one. He will implant these thoughts into your head

and they will spread like wildfire. They will consume you, and attempt destroy every work the Lord has

done. Do not give him that power! I know this sounds redundant, I know it sounds cliché and impossible

– but stop counting your losses. Get a pen and paper if you have to and write out the victories Jesus has

carried you through. Each one. From the small wins to the life altering ones, the ones you cannot deny.

When abandonment cries out to you – speak against it in the name of Jesus. He who is in you is greater

than he who is in the world. When rejection whispers in your ear – and it will – stand firm in where God

has brought you from. People will let you down sweet soul, humanity is broken. But my God – he will

never forsake you. You can wander and run, you can kick and scream and numb the pain however the

enemy tempts you. All the while the precious Holy Spirit will continue to pursue you in the most subtle

ways. And when you are ready to come home and face the pain – Jesus will be right there waiting to

fight with you. You are not losing your mind, 1 Timothy 1:7 says that God doesn’t give us a spirit of fear,

but of a sound mind. Walk in that sound mind friend. Come back home, let Him help you process the

heaviness of being alone in this season.
